Contargo network service in action in Germersheim.
|Contargo Network Service, CNS, took over operation of the Contargo container terminal in Germersheim, Rhineland-Palatinate, located on the Rhine at the site owned by Freyer GmbH. The CNS logistics specialists are part of the Contargo network of interlinked terminals and trimodal container transport lines active throughout Europe. "Situated outside the big industrial centres, the Germersheim location is ideally situated to provide transport for shippers from Germersheim, Phillipsburg, Bruchsal and the Vorderpfalz area", said CNS branch manager Nicole Petersen.|
Forwarding and logistics agent Jasmin Daum, a member of the operating team in Germersheim, pointed out the advantages of the location: "We are situated directly on a motorway/main road intersection which is not affected by rush-hour traffic. There are no waiting times in the terminal, everyone gets prompt, direct service," and she added: "Up to now, Contargo Germersheim has perhaps been regarded as an 'insider tip' - by our work we aim to make it the favoured starting-point and destination of overseas transports for industry and commerce within a radius of 100km."
At Contargo Germersheim sea carriers, forwarders and shippers - in fact all those who require container logistics - will find a well-organised container terminal with a comprehensive service offer. The terminal has the benefit of Contargo's scheduled inland barge lines, with regular sailings to and from the western seaports (Rotterdam and Antwerp) and cooperates with reliable partners. Nicole Petersen: "We have the know-how to deal with regular busi-ness - but we really welcome unusual projects. Customers will find in us equal partners who can solve their problems, because we have gained years of experience in customer support and transport planning (both combined transport and direct trucking) at other locations."
Contargo Germersheim assembles low-priced, eco-friendly transport chains of inland barge, rail and truck tailored to individual requirements. Customers in the region enjoy having one contact partner for all transport-related questions who can assist them in German, English or Dutch as required, and deals with import clearance and customs formalities.
