Message from Per Gullestrup and Svend Andersen Regarding APC

Published 20 May 2009 | By BBC Chartering

BBC Chartering and Logistic and Clipper Projects (CP) have successfully served our clients' project shipping needs in the Far East for the past five years under the umbrella partnership of APC.

As you know, the world shipping market is changing and we are re-positioning our companies to take advantage of new opportunities that these changes offer. To better meet the needs of our Far East clients and to operate more efficiently, we are making a joint strategic decision to dissolve APC effective from 1 July 2009.

The relationship between our two companies, BBC and CP, is as strong as ever. And we expect to continue to work together whenever it serves both our clients and our own needs. This dissolution of APC is simply a business decision that will position our companies more favourably for the future.

The only notable change is the closing of the APC Shanghai office on 1 July 2009. Our offices in Singapore, Dalian, Melbourne and Dubai will remain open under management by BBC. The office names in these cities will change, but the same staff will be there to serve you and their contact numbers will remain unchanged.

Clipper Projects will continue their Far Eastern presence and continue to serve their clients in the region. They will maintain the level of service and performance as delivered in the APC partnership.

Both BBC and CP will announce their respective contact details in the near future. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to call.

From Per Gullestrup, president and CEO of Clipper Projects, and Svend Andersen, president and CEO of BBC Chartering and Logistic.
