Acquisition would help the company strengthen its current network
Wallenborn Transports SA, a European supplier of logistics in road feeder transportations, air cargo distribution and related services with home base in Luxembourg, has acquired Rutges Cargo BV, a supplier of air cargo distribution based in Amsterdam.
The acquisition would help Wallenborn Transports strengthen and complement its current network and product service offering. Now with the acquisition of Rutges Cargo BV with head office in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Wallenborn is continuing to implement its strategy to extend its reach and expertise in European logistics.
Rutges Cargo with offices in Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, London and Paris was originally founded in 1886. Since 1999, it has been part of the Wim Bosman Group with a strategy to focus on air cargo distribution products.
Mario Schoofs, CCO of Wim Bosman Group, said: "The synergies between Wim Bosman, mainly focused on integrated logistic services, road, air and ocean freight services, and Rutges Cargo were limited. In Rutges and Wallenborn coming together in the future, we will provide for both our customers and our staff the best of two solutions."
