Transite Unveils Jaguar TDP

Transportation-specific application development platform for carriers, 3PLs and shippers

Transite Technology, a provider of logistic and shipping cost-management software and services, has introduced Jaguar TDP. The company claims it to be the industry's first transportation-specific application development platform for carriers, 3PLs and shippers.

Jaguar TDP delivers the core functionality of rating and pricing management-including rating, database management and user security, while enabling the customer to 'self-customize' by building their own transportation management applications.

Geoff Comrie, CEO of Transite, said: "Customers have been seeking a software development framework in which to create their own transportation applications. We deliver the fundamental functionality while giving customers the flexibility to build and scale their own transportation applications to adapt to their changing businesses."

The company said that though Jaguar TDP is a new product from 'code-forward', it is founded on market feedback of Transite's Contract Manager offering. Contract Manager was introduced in early 2004, with a new version being introduced in late 2005.

Laurie Johnson, COO of Matheson Trucking, said: "Particularly with the economy, the carrier market is increasingly competitive market. We believe Transite's platform will not only strengthen our internal business processes, but will enable us to grow our customer base more efficiently while providing the flexibility to add new capabilities that customers will soon demand."

Reportedly, Jaguar TDP was rolled out to a limited number of customers in March, 2009 and has been in development for almost two years.
