DB Schenker, Sichuan JiuYe sign partnership deal

German transport and logistics provider DB Schenker has partnered with Sichuan JiuYe in China for perishable goods supply chain.

Sichuan JiuYe delivers cross border one-stop supply chain services to agriculture, food e-commerce and food companies in China and abroad.

The key export market of the food trading firm is East Europe. Mjor import markets include Australia, North America and Europe.

DB Schenker, which has a strong global network and expertise in the market, will serve as freight forwarding provider for the perishable goods of Sichuan JiuYe.

The partnership will allow the food trading firm to expand its business by increasing the number of clients in from current and new markets.

The deal will also enable DB Schenker to strengthen and enhance its presence in China. In the existing import countries of Sichuan JiuYe, DB Schenker has the infrastructure to provide logistic services.

DB Schenker has carried out air freight export shipments of fresh fruits from China to Russia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

DB Schenker CEO North/Central China Thomas Sorensen said: “This is an important milestone for us and brings us closer to our goal to achieve a leading market position in the logistics of perishable goods in China.”

Having a workforce of over 235000 people, DB Schenker specializes in contract logistics/ SCM, projects & events, land transport, airfreight and ocean freight.

The firm’s business include automotive, technology, consumer goods, trade fair logistics, special transports, and special events logistics across 130 countries.
