Schenker secures three year extension to Targus contract
Computing cases and accessories group Targus Europe has extended its cooperation with Dutch logistics group Schenker in a three year contract worth approximately E8 million annually.
Schenker will be responsible for the total supply chain of Targus products, a range that covers notebook carry cases, power adapters, security devices and many portable options such as mice, hubs, and keypads, to and from the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) market.
The cooperation will comprise a full service ranging from pick and pack, VAL activities and transportation to return handling. The project involves a work force of approximately 30 people.
Targus expects an annual growth of about 20% in the EMEA market. We needed a logistics partner to grow together with us, giving us all required support. said Barry Dennis, operations director EMEA at Targus Europe.
