Kuehne + Nagel Selected To Provide Airfreight By MTS
Kuehne + Nagel has been selected by Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (MTS), a mobile phone operator in Russia and the CIS, as MTS' main supplier for airfreight import and export.
Under the agreement, Kuehne + Nagel’s services to MTS include airfreight import activities from approximately 40 origins in countries such as Canada, Mexico, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary and the CIS to Moscow.
Kuehne + Nagel said that it was chosen as the main supplier of international air transportation and forwarding services by MTS which is one of the two official distributors of Blackberry and also a big importer of telecommunications equipment.
In addition, Kuehne + Nagel said that it is expanding its logistics activities and manpower in the CIS and, through its global network and employees with industry-specific expertise, and will enhance their business in the region.
Mobile TeleSystems OJSC (MTS) provides services for around 97 million subscribers in various countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia and Belarus.
