Kuehne + Nagel Enters Into Agreement With Finpro
To provide tailor-made door-to-door transport and on-site logistics solutions
Kuehne + Nagel has entered into an agreement with Finpro, formerly known as the Finnish Foreign Trade Association, to provide logistics services for Finpro’s exhibition area at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai, China.
The World Expo, which has been held since the mid-19th century, is an international exhibition of manufactured products. Taking place between May 1 and October 31, World Expo 2010 is expected to cover over 500 hectares in a central area in Shanghai with the aim of attracting 70 million visitors.
With air and seafreight shipments already begun, Kuehne + Nagel will be transporting equipment, tools and hospitality material to and from Finland, and coordinating cross-trade shipments between additional countries. Finpro will benefit from Kuehne + Nagel’s Expo Service offering, which provides tailor-made door-to-door transport and on-site logistics solutions with experienced staff to ensure delivery of goods to tight schedules set by the World Expo, including fixed delivery windows.
