To manage logistics requirements for its international rig fleet

Parker Drilling, a contract drilling and project management solutions for the global energy industry, has entered into an agreement with Kuehne + Nagel to manage logistics requirements for its international rig fleet.

According to the agreement, Kuehne + Nagel’s services would cover freight forwarding, export packing and most international transport-related processes. Kuehne + Nagel would be offering multi-modal (sea, air, road and rail) transportation services, as well as expedited service for emergency logistics needs. Additionally, Kuehne + Nagel would support Parker Drilling’s Project Engineering and Construction business.

Ed Fish, senior vice president of Global Oil & Gas at Kuehne + Nagel, said: During the past twelve months, we have worked closely with Parker Drilling to ensure that implementations at each of its locations has been managed with complete customer satisfaction and no supply chain interruption.

Reportedly, Kuehne + Nagel’s oil and gas capabilities would help energy organizations manage their logistics strategies and operations across functional areas, including order management, transportation, physical distribution and supply chain security.

The company said that specific capabilities include account management with a customer-service department, rig and maritime support, a rig-move task force, as well as FCPA compliance programs.
