FreightCar America appoints new CFO

LBR Staff Writer Published 29 August 2010

FreightCar America, a manufacturer of railroad freight cars, has appointed Joseph McNeely as the new chief financial officer, effective 13 September 2010, succeeding Christopher Nagel.

McNeely has spent the last ten years serving in the railcar industry, and most recently served as vice president at Mitsui Rail Capital, a subsidiary of Mitsui and Company.

Prior to that, McNeely held positions at GATX, including vice president of finance for GATX Rail and vice president of finance and IT for GATX Terminals.

FreightCar America president and CEO Ed Whalen said that the company is confident that Joseph's experience, as well as the experience of its leadership team, will provide an efficient foundation for optimizing its future performance and help guide its strategic long-term growth.
