Echo Global Logistics Takes Over Raytrans Distribution
Chicago-based Echo Global Logistics, a transportation management outsourcing firm, has acquired transportation brokerage company, Raytrans Distribution Services.
Following the acquisition, Raytrans Distribution Services will no longer exist as an autonomous entity, and will start doing business as a division of Echo Global Logistics.
Doug Waggoner, CEO, Echo Global Logistics, said: “We are enthused about the value that the partnership between Echo and Raytrans will deliver to our clients. Echo will benefit from Raytrans' focus and additional scale, while the Raytrans operation will gain from Echo's technology and mode diversification.”
James Ray, Jr., Founder of Raytrans Distribution Services, will continue as General Manager of the Raytrans Division of Echo Global Logistics.
Raytrans' network of transportation professionals and carriers specializes in flatbed, over-sized, auto-haul and other services as well as traditional dry van brokerage.
