DHL Wins Outbound Air Freight Contract From Carestream Health
It will also provide air freight services for Carestream's business partners and manufacturing centers across Asia Pacific
DHL has signed a new contract with Carestream Health, a provider of healthcare IT solutions, dental and molecular imaging systems, x-ray systems and digital radiography equipment globally, reported Fright net.
Currently DHL provides outbound air freight in Asia Pacific for Carestream Health. DHL would also supply Carestream Health's business partners and manufacturing centers across the region with air freight services.
DHL Global Forwarding will handle the contract, which includes the management of around five million kilograms of volume, approximately 90% of Carestream’s global air freight volume.
Leo Nussenbaum, global sourcing manager of Carestream Health, said: We are confident in DHL’s ability to help us deliver on schedule for our customers, a critical factor in the health-focused technology sector. DHL’s advanced logistics solutions and unique customer service structure will streamline and optimize our transport processes.
Previously, DHL has bagged other contracts from Asia Pacific, which include a new partnership with NCR Corporation, a global technology company. DHL Supply Chain, the contract logistics division of DHL, manages a new 15,000 sq feet service parts hub in Hong Kong and offers express and freight transportation throughout the region to support a network of service parts warehouses for NCR.
