DHL Bags Contract From Carestream Health
To provide logistics services for outbound air freight in Asia Pacific
Germany-based logistics company DHL has entered into a contract with Carestream Health, an international healthcare IT solutions, dental and molecular imaging systems, x-ray systems and digital radiography equipment, reported Frightnet.
DHL is due to provide Carestream Health with logistics services for outbound air freight in Asia Pacific, and would offer its business partners and manufacturing centers across the region with air freight services. The contract entails the management of around five million kilograms of volume, which is more than 90% of Carestream’s global air freight volume, would be handled by DHL Global Forwarding.
Leo Nussenbaum, global sourcing manager of Carestream Health, said: DHL's advanced logistics solutions and unique customer service structure will streamline and optimize our transport processes.
The present contract with Carestream Health follows the company's other contract in Asia Pacific, including a new partnership with NCR Corporation, a global technology company. The contract logistics division of DHL, DHL Supply Chain would operate a new 15,000 sq feet service parts hub in Hong Kong. It would provide express and freight transportation throughout the region to support a network of service parts warehouses for NCR.
