Deutsche Logistics To Invest $150m In Indian Transport Market
Since there are lot of opportunities that are yet to be explored in Indian market
Deutsche Logistics plans to invest around $150m to improve the Indian transport market. With the increment of cordial relationship between India and European Union, Deutsche Logistics sees major opportunities that can be explored in India.
Mr.A. Bhowmik, managing director for Indian operations of Deutsche Logistics, said: Transportation & logistics industry in India is in very flexible position and there are lot of opportunities that are yet to be explored. Analyzing the industry's growth and structure, we believe we can bring major significant changes in Indian markets. We hope should there changes are done, it will increase the GDP to a considerable growth.
Mr. Bhowmik, added that: We have planned to bring in $150m investment, where $37.5m will be used to set up our IT & Infrastructure and remaining for our physical infrastructure with option for four major hubs to be built up in Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai for only outbound air cargo movements.
Deutsche Logistics already present in more than 190 countries with a pan global network and including India in its network it will make India as one of the important Hub in Asia. Deutsche Logistics future five plan also includes introduction of its own Airline service into Indian Air space, which will be considered as priority, based on the response firm get from market.
