Damco Selects SaviTrak Tracking Intelligence From Savi Networks
Damco, a freight forwarding and supply chain management service comapny, has selected Savi Networks' SaviTrak wireless tracking intelligence service to improve the visibility, security and safety of global container shipments for their customers.
According to Damco, it will incorporate SaviTrak wireless tracking intelligence service into its logistics service offerings to provide real-time, automated intelligence on the location and status of customer shipments.
SaviTrak utilizes wireless shipment monitoring technology to provide shippers, logistics service providers, and terminal operators with easily accessible, precise and actionable information, said the company. In addition, leveraging wireless data technologies such as GPS, satellite and GPRS (cellular), web-based SaviTrak service is said to improve supply chain execution and management, operational efficiency and the security of intermodal cargo moved across all modes of transportation, such as truck, rail, ocean vessel and air.
