Damco North America Appoints New Chief Commercial Officer
Damco, a provider of freight forwarding and supply chain management services, has appointed Mark Michaels as chief commercial officer for North America.
Mr Mark will assume the new role from August 01, 2010 in the company's North American head office in Madison, New Jersey. He served for Kuehne + Nagel for 17 years where he was most recently senior vice president of sales and marketing.
In addition, Mr Mark while at Kuehne + Nagel, led field sales, key account management and also product sales teams and oversaw integration of these into current single structure.
Jeremy Haycock, president of Damco in North America, said: “Mark's experience with the logistics and freight forwarding industry is vast and impressive and will allow him to lead and strengthen our sales and customer efforts to a new level.
He will have an immediate impact on our company goals and ambitions based on his industry expertise and knowledge.”
