Company looks for new ways to improve customer experience

Con-way Freight, a less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier and subsidiary of Con-way, has launched Global LTL, a portfolio of the company's worldwide LTL services. The new offering was created to help customers understand and benefit from the breadth of Con-way Freight's global services.

Services offered under Global LTL have been created by Con-way Freight or through strategic alliances with global counterparts of equally high-caliber service, performance, quality and expertise, said the company.

John G. Labrie, president of Con-way Freight, said: "The need for shippers to connect LTL service to a worldwide customer and supplier base has increased significantly over the past few years, and Con-way Freight has expanded its suite of services accordingly.

"Global LTL brings all of our worldwide solutions under one umbrella, making it more convenient than ever for shippers to quickly and intuitively locate the LTL service that best meets their needs. We're always looking for new ways to improve the customer experience, and Global LTL represents just one more step in that direction."

Based in Ann Arbor, Mich., Con-way Freight offers LTL freight delivery across North America, as well as delivery in the US for international less-than-container (LCL) ocean shipments from Asia through its OceanGuaranteed service, and expedited US delivery for inbound international cargoes from Europe through an exclusive alliance with TNT.
