China Airlines Signs Inventory Logistics Agreement With Pratt & Whitney

China Airlines has signed a multi-year exclusive inventory logistics program agreement with Pratt & Whitney. As per the deal, Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners will be an exclusive part replacement and repair provider for China Airlines' fleet of PW4056 engines. The agreement is valued at approximately $60-70m.
Derek Cridland, senior vice president of engineering and maintenance at China Airlines, said: “We are pleased to select Pratt & Whitney for our inventory logistics needs for our PW4056 engines. As a trusted OEM, Pratt & Whitney is experienced at helping operators such as ourselves to add value to our business.”
Andy Tanner, vice president of product line management at Pratt & Whitney, said: “We are proud to work with China Airlines through this new agreement. Our service offerings strive to offer customers like China Airlines unmatched value and flexibility through our Global Service Partners network.”
China Airlines, headquartered in Taipei, China, is one of the largest airlines in Taiwan.
Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies company, is a global provider of design, service and manufacturer of aircraft engines, space propulsion systems and industrial gas turbines. Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners is a total service provider for engines made by Pratt & Whitney, International Aero Engines, GE, Rolls-Royce and CFMI.
