Boeing's redesign plans may delay 787 Dreamliner delivery
The launch of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner is likely to be delayed further as the company has accepted that it will have to make some changes in the design of the aircraft's parts, reported The Financial Times.
According to the report, Boeing has refused to divulge information on the redesign work but said: There's a whole load of things going on. The company has reportedly said that it was reviewing the 787 model and would make the report public at the end of March or early in April this year. The Financial Times quoted Steven Udvar-Hazy, chairman of International Lease Finance (ILFC), as saying that the first deliveries of Dreamliner will be delayed for at least six months as its center wing box has to be redesigned. ILFC, which has ordered 74 Dreamliners, is the biggest buyer of the aircraft.
