Apeejay Infra starts two new logistics parks in India
Apeejay Infralogistics has started two new logistics parks in Haldia, West Bengal, and Kalinganagar, Orissa, both in India.
Apeejay Infralogistics is a 50:50 joint venture between the Apeejay Surrendra Group and Britain-based Eredene Capital.
Apeejay Surrendra Group chairman Karan Paul was quoted by IANS as saying that the company has so far invested Rs 50-60 crore for both the projects.
The Haldia project will be built on 90 acres and will entail investment of Rs 75 crore in phase I, Rs 75 crore in phase II and Rs 50 crore in phase III, and is expected to be completed by in another two-and-a-half year, according to IANS.
The Kalinganagar park is estimated to cost Rs 50 crore, and it will be built on 30 acres in two phases.
The news agency reported that following the completion of both the hubs, a one million square feet space will be available for warehousing.
The Haldia Logistics Park will provide storage space for domestic and EXIM cargo, stuffing, destuffing, consolidation and deconsolidation.
