Amerijet Acquires Nations Express
Acquisition coincides with Amerijet's recent announcement to lease five Boeing 767-200 cargo aircraft
Amerijet International has acquired a majority interest in Nations Express, an express trucking company based in Charlotte. Nations Express operates a fleet of around 200 trucks in an express charter truck service.
The acquisition coincides with Amerijet's recent announcement to lease five Boeing 767-200 cargo aircraft. Recently, Amerijet has also acquired SRX Transcontinental, a Florida based company specializing in ground handling operations throughout Central Asia, and owner of Avialeasing Aviation Company.
John Nash, CFO of Amerijet, said: Nations Express represents a company doing all the right things, at the right time, and a company we believe is a unique fit with Amerijet and our global logistics services.
William Frazier, President and CEO, Nations Express, said: The investment by Amerijet will provide the additional capital necessary for the Company to take advantage of a number of exciting growth opportunities in the ground freight transportation industry as well as new freight service opportunities offered by Amerijet International.
