Agility Acquires Trafinsa To Expand American Operations

LBR Staff Writer Published 01 June 2009

Agility, a global provider of integrated logistics solutions, has acquired its longstanding partner Trafinsa S.A. de C.V. and US affiliate Trafinsa International LLC.

Trafinsa offers cargo management, air and ocean export, handling, deconsolidation and documentation services to different industries, including cement, food, brewery and automotive. The company operates four branches located in Guadalajara, Monterrey, Laredo (Texas), and Mexico City.

Trafinsa has made a global import and export footprint through Agility’s network of offices and customers. Agility’s broad project forwarding expertise permits Trafinsa to tap industry verticals in which the company is not currently active.

Mike Bible, CEO, Agility Americas, said: “Our relationship with Trafinsa spans 23 years, over which the company has established itself as a growing freight forwarding player with strong project forwarding capabilities.”
